Whether in a private room or open space, karaoke is a great way to mingle with other people and showcase your skills, good or bad, and not worry about being judged. This provides an amazing platform for those looking to get out of their shell and have a good time. Karaoke DUET 53
This place is great if you’re looking for a spot to accommodate a big group. While you can either bring your own food or order from the place, drinks must be purchased there. They have an extensive selection of music so you’ll find something to sing from country to hip-hop to Broadway musicals. It’s definitely a great spot for big groups and you’ll have a great time. Planet Rose
This East Village location is one of my favorite karaoke spots! The happy hour is incredibly affordable and songs are $2 or you can get a song with every drink order you place. There are no private rooms so you’ll get a chance to sing in front of the crowd and have a fun time. If you plan on singing, make sure to hand in your selection to the bartender as the wait can be long depending on the amount of people in the bar. For more info click here.
Gagopa Karaoke
You can’t go to karaoke spot without checking one out in Koreatown. Private rooms go for $32 per hour for up to 4 people. If you have a group of 5 or more, then it’s $8 per person. They have an amazing selection of songs so if you’re looking to sing a throwback or a current hit, you’ll find it! It’s BYOB though they do offer a small variety of drinks here. Karaoke Cave
A fun spot in Union Square, this karaoke spot is the go-to spot with your friends! Make sure to get there early as there can be a lengthy wait. You could order $3 jello shots and enjoy the amazing happy hour specials. The song selection is unbeatable and you could order yummy bites at the bar. Check out this awesome spot here.
