Join us at Kenneth Hahn Park to make Valentines for the children at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House! Families staying at the Ronald Mcdonald House are dealing with serious childhood illnesses and face financial hardships as they are spending all of their time focusing on their children's medical issues. They spend long days at Children's Hospital for appointments and treatments. Let's brighten their days by providing some arts and crafts supplies as well as hand made Valentines!
We will meet at the dragon playground and the top of Kenneth Hahn Park to decorate paper Valentine's, make encouraging cards, and fill the bags with healthy snacks. The Ronald McDonald House will send these bags with children on their way to long days at the hospital.
Please bring donations of construction paper, crayons, markers, paint, stickers, craft supplies, etc.
If you're unable to donate supplies but would like to attend to decorate bags and make cards you're welcome to join us!
If you're unable to attend but would like to donate supplies please email Maggie at maggie.pulley@ileadexploration.org to arrange a drop-off!
When you enter Kenneth Hahn Park continue all the way down the road to the top of the hill. You'll pass several playgrounds and parking areas on your way. The road ends at the parking lot right by the dragon playground! We'll be in the picnic area next to the playground. It can be windy at the park so bring sweaters! There are several great playgrounds, hiking trails, and a duck pond to explore if you'd like to see more of Kenneth Hahn park after our project.
