We will take you on our journey…

The Story of Ram 2021 is an immersive, outdoor performing arts experience. Talking monkeys, shape-shifting deer, heroes and demons galore! Mandala’s take on the Ramayana emerges as a multidimensional theatre that nests in contemporary culture and mythology alike. Artists share slices of rich tradition steeped in the epic, including dance, music and puppetry.

Permeating the arts throughout South and Southeast Asia, the tale of Ram, his wife Sita, and his brother Lakshman exiled in the forest – at odds with the brilliant king Ravana – has seen myriads of interpretations over the centuries.The Story of Ram weaves together cultures from India, Indonesia, Thailand and more. Together, we hope to create new resonance and understanding.

Join us on Saturday, October 9th at historic Naper Settlement located at 523 S Webster Street in Naperville. Our final evening performance will take place as the sun sets, which will lead to a celebration filled with light and joy!
