Mandala Arts announces that its performance of The Jazz Yatra on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m. at Wentz Hall in Naperville, is shifting from dance to music due to COVID exposure. Acclaimed jazz guitarist Fareed Haque and two other musicians will perform a concert of South Asian-influenced jazz. Mandala welcomes all those who purchased tickets to The Jazz Yatra to attend this concert and will invite them to an open rehearsal in Naperville at a later date. All in attendance at The Jazz Yatra who makes a specific request will receive a complimentary pair of tickets to Mandala’s premiere Diwali: Illumination October 12–13 at the Harris Theater.
The Fareed Haque group will perform a special program of music featuring elements of jazz and north and south Indian musical traditions.
