Storytelling as a Spiritual PracticeÂ
with Allison Quaid and RegiÂ
Carpenter
"Spirituality is the process where the human being expands his or her identity to reach the totality of the universe." The Earth Stories Connection, G. Cutanda
Are you someone who wants to be more connected to your own creativeÂ
expression, feelings and beliefs? Sacred and secular stories, poems, andÂ
other writings have helped people understand their identity and place inÂ
this world throughout time.Â
Story can act as teacher, mentor and compassionate guide as we seek the Spirit within, above, below and around us.Â
Join writer Allison Quaid and spoken wordÂ
artist and author Regi Carpenter as they guide and support you in theirÂ
online Zoom class Storytelling as a Spiritual Practice. In fourÂ
90-minute classes we will listen to self andÂ
others, write, share and reflect in order to deepen your writing andÂ
speaking skills, broaden your understanding of story as personal guideÂ
and revel in the spoken word. We will draw inspiration from Rumi poems, Grimm's Fairy tales, folk tales, Celtic Spirituality, and personal stories.Â
No previous experience is necessary. AllÂ
classes will be recorded and made available to you if you are unable toÂ
attend live but we strongly encourage your live presence.
