SAFAR, Shahbano Farid's first short film documentary.

In October of 2014, Shahbano Farid set out on a journey to create a short film about women in the workplace without any formal education or training in filmmaking. From conceptualizing the idea, directing and producing, to editing post-production this vision has come to fruition.

Multiple times of trail and error, sleepless nights, and countless times of wanting to quit (but not quitting!), she can finally call herself a filmmaker.

Come learn more about her journey to share amazing stories of women defying the odds in Karachi, Pakistan despite western perceptions, formed gender roles, or tabood stigmas of working women.
