Wade Roush is the host and producer of Soonish—a tech-and-culture podcast with the motto “The future is shaped by technology, but technology is shaped by us”—and co-founder of the Hub & Spoke audio collective. He’s a longtime science and technology journalist who trained in the history of science and technology at Harvard and MIT and has worked for Science, MIT Technology Review, Xconomy, and other publications. In 2014-15 he was acting director MIT’s Knight Science Journalism program. He earned a BA in history and science at Harvard College and a PhD in the history and social study of science and technology from MIT’s Program in Science, Technology, and Society. His recent edited volume Twelve Tomorrows, co-published by MIT Technology Review and the MIT Press, is an anthology of “hard” science fiction stories about the near future.

Catherine Carlock is the real estate editor of the Boston Business Journal and an award-winning business journalist. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Carlock arrived in Boston just in time for the record-breaking winter of 2015 and is responsible for covering all aspects of Greater Boston’s commercial real estate industry. She makes frequent appearances on New England Cable News. Prior to arriving in Boston, Carlock covered real estate for the Triad Business Journal in Greensboro, North Carolina for four years. As a student, she interned at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Charlotte Observer, CNBC’s “Mad Money with Jim Cramer,” The Virginian-Pilot and MarketWatch.com. She is a graduate of Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia with a degree in journalism and English. Outside of work, Carlock enjoys training for half-marathons, exploring the New England region and searching for Boston’s best lobster roll.
About Ashley Bleimes (@ableimes)
Ashley Bleimes is Public Relations Manager at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). She is responsible for overseeing the Museum’s social media presence, as well as coordinating with departments across the institution to ensure technology is effectively leveraged in the galleries and beyond. This includes tasks as diverse as developing in-gallery personality quizzes with curatorial staff, working with the creative team to create compelling video content, instituting rigorous reporting around engagement metrics, and working to execute the MFA’s ambitious Strategic Plan, MFA 2020 through social media. Recently, Ashley spearheaded the creation of an association of social media managers from large Boston-area institutions, which has launched initiatives such as the annual #BostonInstaswap, and collaborated with museums across the country on social media campaigns such as the #MuseumBowl. From customer service to crisis communications, Ashley’s role touches every aspect of the Museum’s operations. She graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a degree in Print Journalism and Spanish Studies.
