It’s that time of year again, and Mardi Gras is returning to the City of La Porte, near Houston, Texas. On February 17th from 4 PM to 8 PM, you’ll get a chance to experience the “Mardi Gars On Main & Sunset Sip & Stroll Farmer’s Market.” There will be plenty of fun for all of your friends and family including a fun street festival, plenty of Mardi Gras fun, face painting, stilt walking, and much more.
At the City of La Porte’s Mardi Gras on Main, there will be plenty of entertainment for everybody, including live music by the Mambo Jazz Kings, Curley Taylor, and Zydeco Trouble, an excellent beer garden, plenty of great meals from local food trucks, a market where you can shop, and entertainment for children. You’ll also get to experience the March to Mardi Gras Parade, and some face painting fun.
Also, the Craft Beer Garden will host a VIP craft beer tasting session from 3 PM to 4 PM, right before the event will become public. At that time, you can take samples of beer from local breweries and talk to the brewers to learn about their recipes. If you are coming with a designated driver, make sure you save some money and get a designated driver ticket, which only costs five dollars.
