Arguably the most famous amphitheater in LA, the Hollywood Bowl has hosted a number of big name artists and spectacular events. Found north of the Highland and Hollywood shopping complexes, the acoustics in the venue are legendary due to the structural shell found on top of the stage. Because of the amazing sound the theater provides, bands enjoy playing here.
This historic venue located on the Sunset Strip in LA reopened in 1993 under Johnny Depp’s ownership, changing its name from Central Club to the Viper Room. Depp booked appearances here by a variety of famous artists worth seeing including Johnny Cash and Tom Petty. Also known as the place where River Phoenix overdosed near in 1993, the history of this place—both wonderful and tragic—makes it a venue worth visiting. Check out the Viper Room here.
The Getty is a fantastic place to attend on summer evenings in Los Angeles because of the venue’s famous outdoor concert offerings.
